The sun is shining, it’s getting milder, the birds are singing and the days are getting so much longer.

With all this in mind, our thoughts turn to those of the outdoors, and how we are going to spend our lovely time, over the warm spring and hot summer months.

Can you believe it?

It comes round so quick, last Saturday was Grand National day.

One of the most famous steeplechases was won at Aintree, by ‘Rule the World’ at 33-1.

The race-goers were out in there thousands enjoying their day, eating and drinking and of course, studying the racing form too!

This popular sporting event attracts thousands of people, from various parts of the world. There are the serious high stake betters, to the party socialites and, or those getting glammed up.

Aintree is known as the official start of the National Hunt racing season. From now until the end of the summer, numerous meets occur. The most famous, of course, is Ascot being held from Tuesday 14th to Saturday 18th June.

It’s another great opportunity to get dressed up, especially for those ladies on Ladies Day on Thursday 16th June.

Alternatively all of the other days are a delight for the gentlemen to show off too and impress us with their dapper outfits.

If the ‘dressing up’ thing is not your idea of fun you can always ‘wear your normal clothes’ and enter the Windsor enclosure where no formal dress code applies, unlike the Royal and Queen Anne Enclosures.

Racing appeals to a wide range of spectators. With private and corporate parties, both large and small attending, and from hen and stag parties, racing at various venues across the country, has never been so entertaining and exciting.

But do you know what the problem is with heading to a day at the races?

Travel.

Often, it’s started & ended with a boring coach journey – just to take the exciting buzz and anticipation out of the day.

This is the reason that we get so many enquiries for our Routemaster buses come racing season.

Not only do Routemasters accommodate 72 passengers – so much more than the boring 56-seater coach – they’re also much more fun to travel on

They can play you’re your favourite music to get you in the party mood, and will pick you up and drop you off at pre-arranged times, suitable for you and your party.

It really makes your trip a day to remember.
